Posted by: Craig Woolheater on October 2nd, 2014
Kelly Shaw of the Rocky Mountain Sasquatch Organization discusses a series of Sasquatch sightings by a group of miners over a 24 hour period.

Not to be a complainer, because I do appreciate the efforts of the folks who made this video, but it pretty much highlights everything that’s bad about the easy access we have to video technology.
All of the pertinent information contained in this video could have been written in a report which would have taken a minute or two to read. Also, putting it down in writing might have brought the author’s attention to a salient point that in NOT in the video. Instead, we’re required to watch a ten minute video, capturing the reporter’s every “uh” and “um,” and delivering minutes of images which have nothing to do with the report.
Here are a couple of things worth noting for the reporters’ future reports:
1. Nowhere in the video are we told where the ghost town of Deadwood is. The report is from the Rocky Mountain Sasquatch Organization, so my assumption was that Deadwood is in a Rocky Mountain state. However, the only two “ghost town” or “mining town” Deadwoods I could find are in South Dakota or California, respectively — neither of which encompass any part of the Rocky Mountains. Judging from the terrain in the video, I’d say this is California. But it would have been helpful to have that mentioned in the report.
2.It’s not until the halfway point of the video that it is revealed that the three sighting reports we’re going to hear about (one is mentioned previously in the video, but the other two are yet to come) took place in 1996 — nearly twenty years ago. So, given tree growth and the reported recent collapse of some of the buildings in the area, not only will we see no physical evidence in the video, but the locations we’re shown are quite likely very different from when the sightings took place — thus effectively negating the need for a video report.
I’m sure I sound like a curmudgeon, but ten minutes is a long time to waste on eighteen year-old information. Reporters, please consider your message and your audience when creating reports like this.
Atta boy, Bigfoot ! You go chase those loggers out of the woods.
RandyS I concur with you. Kelly, We appreciate your efforts and right now we no reason to not believe what you’re reporting. However, being more professional and evidentiary is needed. Use digital editing when needed with transitions. Be specific about where you are or explain why facts are withheld. Invest in a flat panel light for the camera. Good luck on the interviews. My best,
