Bigfoot Stomps Into North Carolina

Los Angeles-based filmmaker Dan Riesser has a bone to pick with the so-called “Hicksploitation” horror genre.

Riesser, a native of Greensboro, is an Emmy-nominated TV producer for E! network show “The Soup.” He returned to North Carolina to put a new spin on Southern horror with his debut feature, “Stomping Ground,” a genre-melding Bigfoot epic shot in the beautiful Uwharrie Mountains of North Carolina.

Bigfoot Hand Morphology

On last night’s Finding Bigfoot, a set of witnesses independently observed a sasquatch’s hand curling around a tree with the thumb lying parallel to the other digits. This unusual action is what totally convinced me they saw a sasquatch. Bigfoot hands are not like human hands, and they function in subtly different ways.

Here is a hand cast that suggests this morphology.
