Announced on Bigfoot Encounters last night:
5/24/13 update: Hi everybody, I regret to inform you all that Bobbie passed unexpectedly a week ago Thursday 5/16/13. I know some of you may have been trying to contact her and wondering what was going on. This website and her research were a labor of love for many years and while I will not be maintaining it, I will certainly leave it up for an indefinite amount of time until its fate has been decided. There was also a book in-progress, that I’m not entirely certainly of its completion, that I’m trying to figure out what to do with. If anybody wants to contact me to find out about something she left pending or what not, you can reach me at [email protected]. I’m Chris Millet, her grandson who helped her get this site off the ground and running so many years ago. 🙂Chris Millet

Sad news. I had been emailing Bobbie for several years and counted her as a friend. She brought a needed breath of sanity to an often chaotic field. RIP, Bobbie.
She was Good and alway’s had a Smile ,,,Pleasant and Loved People and the Forest People,,or Sasquatch ,,,,To Protect and Help Them alway’s.
Greetings All,
We must all at some time move on but Bobbie’s loss will be felt by all. She was in a class by herself in the Bigfoot Community. Author, friend, wife and mother, controversial person, researcher, traveler and much more. She did it all and enjoyed it along with life itself. She will be sadly missed by her many friends within the community who followed Bigfoot with her.
Bobbie once confided to me that she had a close encounter with a Sasquatch in Central Oregon that lasted for some time. She was amazed and grateful that the specimen stood and watched her for that long. To Bobbie it was a profound religious experience that she didn’t want generally known and she would only usually discuss it with credentialed researchers. I will miss her as an asset to our community and I’m sorry that like so many before her she passed away before this amazing species becomes known to the world.
My condolences to the Short Family as I know they will miss her and I hope their grief is lightened by the fact that she now knows what the Bigfoot Species is and will become. My best to all,
Larry Lesh
