An awesome tribute! These are the shows I grew up on–what got me interested in cryptozoology in the first place!

Thanks Leonard Nimoy for being a boyhood inspiration. Rest well.

Nimoy had the perfect voice to narrate “In Search Of …”, but even more perfect was the music, which seems to perfectly evoke feelings of mystery and spookiness. Actually, even the non-musical sound and the lighting seems to have been designed to be optimally atmospheric. At least that’s the way it seems to me, and probably everyone else who grew up with “In Search Of …”, but I wonder how it would sound to someone who did NOT grow up with it. So if you’re 59 or more, so that you would have been at least 21 when the show came out, or younger than 35, so that it was off the air by the time you were old enough to understand, what is your opinion of the show?

  3. Doug responds:

I remember watching “In Search Of” in the days of my youth on Sunday afternoons. It was so strange that there was a show at the time like this. Got me hooked on what would be a lifelong interest. Thank you, Mr. Nimoy.
