An amazing story of a man chopping wood for hours next to a Sasquatch eating berries! He provides a detailed description of the creature.

Zzzzzz…what? Oh, eh, oh yeah, yeah, man sees Bigfoot while (yawn) chopping wood fifty years ago or somethinnn – zzzzzz.
Cranberry and blackberry bushes together? On a SLEIGH? What part of the world did this occur in? Couldn’t he have gotten the Sasquatch to chop wood for him?
and cryptokellie…. I’ve come to expect more of you. Are you all right?
Hi Goodfoot;
Yeah, I’m okay. I’m just just a little tired of this kind of crypto-slop that has been floating to the surface lately. Combine this kind of stuff with the “Hillbillies vs the Monsters” and “Not Finding Bigfoot” and “Dyer/Hank” and I’m starting to not care all that much these days.
Thanks for asking, I appreciate it.
Question; Do you think the pop-culture side of the Bigfoot phenomena will propel the concept to the level of the UFO culture whereupon, the many Bigfoot reports – real, imagined and hoaxed – will increase to the point of incredulity…are we there now, at least in North America?
From the description, it appears the Sasquatch was a young female, and not fully grown. And, she hadn’t learned to be as cautious around humans as adult Sasquatch appear to be. Or, she was hungry enough to overcome whatever fears she might have had. The fact that the man had kept this story to himself, with the exception of his mother, actually makes the story more credible, to the dismay of debunkers like cryptokellie and Goodfoot. As does his motive for speaking out now. His hearing another debunker claim there are no Sasquatches. Convictions are obtained from eyewitness testimony with much less content than in this case. But, for debunkers, only their own eyewitness experiences are credible, and they see nothing! Nothing! As Sgt Shultz used to say.
Sirwhilhelm;
I am not a hardcore debunker but a story is just that…a story. After following crypto-related items and data since the late 1950s, one acquires a sense for what seems plausible and what probably isn’t. It’s not that the story in this item isn’t plausible but it does have a few holes.
Horses that don’t spook at Bigfoot goes contrary to the majority of eyewitness reports. I owned horses and young or old, if horses don’t like something they will let you know. A snarling, barking female Bigfoot – eight feet away…The key part of this narrative seems to be when he remarks about the size of the Bigfoot’s teeth and how they don’t have fangs “according to books I’ve read”. I suspect that his description is gleaned or at least enhanced from some of these books. The inane commentary by the two hosts does not help either.
After 50 plus years of crypto-interest, I am on the fence about Bigfoot…maybe 60/40 in favor of it’s possible existence. This is due mostly to the enormous amount of footprint evidence and to a lesser extent, the few as yet unidentified hair samples gathered in connection with each other and a well documented sighting.
Convictions are obtained by presenting factual evidence with corroborative testimony, eyewitness or other wise.
As for tall tales, they are very entertaining but offer nothing in the way of actual proof of any kind.
Not debunking here as you really can’t debunk a story with no evidence to support it…just being sensible.
You still sound like a debunker.
Merely a man of sense and having enough years of experience to realize it.
If it makes you feel a little better, back in 1964, I witnessed a UFO sighting that was also seen by thousands of people in northern New Jersey where I lived at the time. I still have the newspaper clipping from the Bergan Evening Record. I know I saw something because many, many people saw it as well. Was it an extraterrestrial craft? I don’t know? UFO is the best I can do seeing as how it was slow moving amber light.
At any rate, I do have an open mind… just not a silly one.
cryptokellie: I have no idea as to your questions. It’s really of little concern to me. I have my experiences, and I know they were real. The rest is just fun for me. Except when it isn’t.
Glad to hear you’re okay, though!
Lets not make fun of Hill Billies. Those that live in the mountains of West Virginia and Tennessee live day by day with some mighty wild critters. They know when they’ve seen something that doesn’t quite fit the norm. Unlike city folk who don’t know a cow from a deer or Wildman from a bear. Like anyone they can be wrong at times and there are always a few that just love to make up tales for the gullible but all in all they are more reliable than a politician.
