Posted by: Craig Woolheater on May 11th, 2015
A little over two years ago, we reported that Seth Rogan was developing an animated series based on the faux Bigfoot autobiography books by Graham Roumieu.
In August of 2013 came news that FX Networks had ordered a pilot for the series, Update: Seth Rogen Developing Animated ‘Bigfoot’ At FX:
Rogen and his writing/producing partner Evan Goldberg have gotten a pilot order from FX for “Bigfoot,” an animated comedy.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, “Bigfoot” is based on Graham Roumieu’s books “In Me Own Words,” “Me Write Book” and “I Not Dead,” which are filled with philosophical musings from the perspective of the elusive sasquatch: “Me once believe in good. Now, no. World go shit, just like Bigfoot screenwriting career.”
“This will be the greatest show about an animated Bigfoot ever made,” Rogen said in the announcement. Matt McKenna (“American Dad”) will write the project and executive produce alongside Rogen and Goldberg for Point Grey Pictures, Roumieu, Jimmy Miller of Jimmy Miller Co. and Floyd County Productions’ Adam Reed and Matt Thompson, who are behind the FX series “Archer.”
Fast forward to the 1:25 mark:
I haven’t been able to track down any updated information regarding the status about the pilot or series…
