SIFF (Seattle International Film Festival) is screening Bobcat Goldthwait’s Bigfoot film, Willow Creek, twice during the festival.
If you are in the area, I suggest that you attend a screening.
Described by Jimmy Kimmel as “Scary and the Hendersons” and by writer-director Bobcat Goldthwait himself as “The Blair-Squatch Project,” found footage movie Willow Creek is a radical departure in Goldthwait’s career after directing a string of black comedies (World’s Greatest Dad, God Bless America).

For the filmmakers overseeing such a complex operation, there was perhaps nothing more challenging or exhilarating than the creation of its main event. “Toho had given us their blessing to re-envision the character, but it was equally important to us as well as Toho that Godzilla look like Godzilla,” Tull says. “We wanted to bring him into contemporary reality while not steering too far from the classic silhouette that so many of us grew up with, and Gareth and the entire team walked that line with passion and inspiration.”

“SQUATCH” is an indie film that has been a personal project of ours for a very long time. We have taken our fascination of Bigfoot & combined it with our love of Horror movies. The story takes place in the Pacific Northwest where a few college friends venture into the woods for a weekend outing. Strange things begin to happen and the local Sheriff tries to solve the mystery. He soon realizes that the missing students have stumbled into a Bigfoot feeding ground. Fearing for their lives, he organizes a man hunt. But the Creature is already stalking, hunting, feeding on the victims one by one….or is he?
