Lake Monsters, Flying Serpents, Hairy Creatures

Terrifying monster sightings were reported in the early history of the Top of Utah and southeast Idaho. The Bear Lake Monster is perhaps the most famous and long-lived of these, first reported in 1868.

Reports of separate “sea monsters” in both the Great Salt Lake and Utah Lake soon followed.

However, there were other intriguing, but relatively unknown monster sightings in northern Utah and southeast Idaho.

Yowie Sighting near Thredbo, New South Wales

Driving down the range from Thredbo in the middle of the night, a group of men are confronted by a large Yowie walking up the road in sleeting snow wearing a deer skin over its shoulders.

The men have a great visual of the creature before it leapt off an embankment and down a steep hill. When at the bottom of the valley below, it let roar with long bellowing screams.

The Unethical and Potential Dangers of Bigfoot Baiting – Part 2

A second area of unethical behavior involves the use of children in the field as a potential attractant through their laughter or through crying. This practice poses a risk to their safety, both physically and mentally. A crying child might attract Bigfoot, but also might attract the previously mentioned predators, and the fear they feel while out in the field may cause physiological damage to the child.
