2013: A Big Year For Bigfoot

The Bigfoot controversy reared its head (or feet) many times in 2013. The debate surrounding alleged Bigfoot DNA continued from 2012; numerous videos and still images emerged of reported Bigfoots (or is that Bigfeet? We’ve never really figured that out.); a Texas press conference presented a group of Bigfoot researchers who claimed to show real, never-before-seen high quality videos of the legendary tall, hairy creature; there was also a series of “clear” photos showing two Bigfoot in Pennsylvania.

Dead Bigfoot: A True Story Reviewed

If you follow bigfoot research, you’ve no doubt heard the controversial name of Justin Smeja. Smeja is, of course, the bear hunter who claims to have shot and killed a juvenile sasquatch in the Sierra mountains in 2010. Since coming forward, his story has been widely spread on the internet (through both interviews and a small documentary), and lately featured in several television shows including Bigfoot: The New Evidence. The DNA evidence has been analyzed, but still the question remains: did Smeja actually kill a bigfoot?
These type of stories tend to polarize the bigfoot community as researchers struggle to sort out the truth. In an effort to do just that, bigfoot researcher and independent filmmaker, Ro Sahebi, in association with The Sierras Evidence Initiative, has created a new feature documentary titled Dead Bigfoot: A True Story. In the doc, Sahebi interviews the witnesses, initiates a polygraph test, and takes a look at the various shreds of evidence that have thus far been presented.

The science provided by Professor Sykes, was first rate however. I know Professor Sykes personally, and consider him to be an honourable man. He has not been involved in any government cover up nor is he motivated by money as has also been suggested by some. He simply says it as he sees it and analyses what he finds in an objective manner. He is the most outstanding mind in his field.

Update: Zana DNA Test Results

Regarding Zana, Bryan has tested both the mitochondria and the nuclear DNA and both sides revealed that Zana’s mother and father are both human. Bryan is currently working on a way to further determine if her African lineage is a modern or relic human.
