George Knapp welcomed DNA expert, Melba Ketchum, for the entire 4-hour program, for a discussion on her Bigfoot research, as well as her testing or planned testing of samples from four giant and elongated skulls, and other giant remains. She addressed some of the controversies surrounding her previous DNA analysis of alleged Bigfoot hair and related samples, which yielded strange results that suggested some kind of human hybrid or mutation. The criticism of her work hasn’t come from geneticists but from people “not qualified to even review the paper,” or people who never even bothered to read her analysis, she remarked.

Tonight we speak to Mo who had a sighting while out hiking with his kids. The children were playing and Mo looked up to see a figure just outside of the treeline watching them. When the creature and Mo made eye contact the creature then backed up into the brush. Mo terrified for their safety quickly left the area with his kids. This day has haunted him since. Mo continues to look for the creature he saw that day. Since this event he has had another brief sighting and different events in the woods that have shaken him up.

Locally, Whitehall resident and researcher Paul Bartholomew does regular presentations on Bigfoot and is keeping the hunt alive.
He is the co-author of “Bigfoot: Encounters in New York & New England.”
The New York Bigfoot Society says the area around Whitehall and Castleton, Vermont, as well as the lower Adirondacks, have had Bigfoot reports since the late 1800s. But it really heated up about 40 years ago.
