Do Bigfoot Witnesses Have Anything in Common?

People who have seen or experienced events connected to Bigfoot truly come from every walk of life. There doesn’t seem to be any one thing in common. It can happen to anyone… A man hunting at his deer lease, to the woman driving home from work late at night. It can happen at any age and at any time of night or day. I have worked with nurses, lawyers, teachers, oil field workers, truckers, carpenters, expert guides, engineers, and people in the military, mothers, fathers, grandparents, children, and more. It doesn’t seem to matter who they are, or what they do… OR whether they believed or didn’t believe in the existence of this creature.

Colorado is home to a lot of wildlife. But Friday, visitors to Pikes Peak caught a glimpse of a mysterious creature that’s rarely spotted.

“Some visitors have spotted a brown creature going back and forth in the woods, kind of in this general area here,” said Brenda Wilson, a ranger on Pikes Peak Highway.

Whether the large, hairy hominid known as Bigfoot truly roams the wilderness of Humboldt County hasn’t deterred scores of enthusiasts and a television series from joining a nearly 60-year quest to find signs and footprints of the ever-elusive creature.

But one local scientist and professor says the search for Bigfoot opens a larger discussion about what the science world deems worthy of research and what happens to those fields that fall into what he calls “the crackpot realm.”
