“Existing Soon”
It wasn’t bad enough that Bobcat was calling his film “The Blair-Squatch Project”?

The film’s got a fairly familiar storyline, a group of college kids/teens decide to go stay at their uncle’s cabin and while on their way there happen to run directly into the TWILIGHT ZONE (sidestepping spoilers here) and do something that pisses off a creature that then becomes hell-bent on revenge!

My thoughts fresh from the screening…
Well, I have to say, and I told Jane Fleming, one of the film’s producers who was in attendance at the screening, that this movie is right there with Bobcat Goldthwait’s film, Willow Creek, as far as being the best Bigfoot movie of all time!
One film, Willow Creek, doesn’t even show Bigfoot, while Exists has Bigfoot all over it!

Sanchez co-directed the 1999 microbudget title The Blair Witch Project for $60K, which then-distributor Artisan morphed into a worldwide phenom with close to $250 million at the box office. Bigfoot hasn’t had the best luck when it comes to recent horror movies thanks in large part to dreck like Bigfoot: The Lost Coast Tapes and The Woodsman, but there’s hope yet for old Sasquatch. Not only is Bobcat Goldthwait’s fantastic Willow Creek waiting in the wings, but Eduardo Sánchez‘s latest seems pretty promising too. Sure it’s found footage, but if anyone can make the format work again it’s the co-creator of The Blair WItch Project.
