Finding Bigfoot: “Canadian Bigfoot, Eh?”

Premiering Sunday, January 22, 10PM e/p

The bigfoot research team travels to Canada to investigate a unique bigfoot encounter caught on tape. The team zeroes in on the Canadian Rockies is search of what may be the most territorial sasquatches on earth.

This is the episode that will deal with Todd Standing and Sylvanic.

Does the Finding Bigfootcast and crew tag along with Todd to Sylvanic?

Amateur footage shot outside of Calgary, Canada. Is that a Bigfoot squatting behind the rock?

Finding Bigfoot: Bigfoot Video a Hoax?

The team heads to investigate some new video evidence shot by a controversial figure in the bigfoot community. After analyzing the film, the team comes to some interesting conclusions.

The official statement regarding Todd Standing from the Finding Bigfoot crew:

The wildly overblown, self-serving assertions made by Todd Standing in those Canadian newspaper articles are quite misleading. We interviewed Todd Standing, as one of several witnesses in Alberta. He used the opportunity to drum up publicity for himself in Calgary papers. That’s what he’s all about — he’s a publicity hound. We interviewed him and basically debunked him on camera. His tales were full of contradictions and couldn’t stand up to our questioning.

Usually the four investigators are not unanimous when some of us feel a witness is not credible. In Todd’s case we all came away feeling that he is not credible, and we said so afterwards.Bossburg

Not to continue on previous Finding Bigfoot dumps, but oh heck let’s.

No need to deal with Todd Standing and Sylvanic. I have.

The problem with Finding Bigfoot is that there’s nothing else out there; and that this is the public Face of the Sasquatch to most people who have even heard of it.

    End result?

    Science———————–eleven-foot pole, min—————————-sasquatch

  2. bigyeti responds:

The segment with Todd Standing proves that the guy is a HOAXER in my opinion! Give me a break! This guy made Moneymaker look SANE!

Having said that. This week’s episode was a step in the RIGHT DIRECTION and I enjoyed it as I do EVERY WEEK!

  3. vitamincm responds:

I’m just done with Finding Bigfoot.
    A. The host is annoying.
    B. They never come remotely close to finding anything.

  4. CDC responds:

Tonight’s episode was actually in a great area. I have been there myself and can attest to the vast thick wooded area. There are plenty of trails and roads, but that forest is THICK.

Sadly, once again, not much to show in the way of evidence.

I see them holding microphones, but can’t understand why they never let us hear any of the sound recordings of the “Squatches” they hear.

I commend the area they chose…much better than RI.

Odd they couldn’t find a single track or footprint. In an area that is so accommodating for the animals, it makes the animal even less likely to exist. Rain washed away tracks, but the mud and soft soil rain leaves behind is perfect for forming new tracks.

I am actually rooting for these guys to find something in these areas, and when they don’t, they should stop making claims and maybe start examining their methods.

No need for them to hold each other’s hands, why not put Bobo a mile to the east, Cliff a mile to the west, Ranae a mile to the south, and Matt a mile to the North…with cameras, recording devices, and call blasting speakers. Just saying.

Seems what they have been trying on the show ain’t working.

  5. Weezy responds:

The problem with any show like this (just like MonsterQuest) is that if you look at it as anything more than entertainment you’ll be disappointed. If Bigfoot was found, we would hear about it on the news way before this show aired, so we know going in to the show that Bigfoot will not be found in the episode. At best they’ll get some tracks, some hair, some noise in the woods, that’s it. Either you’re entertained by it or you’re not. I am, and hey, at least they’re out there looking, can’t find what you’re not looking for.

  6. Sasquatch Up Close responds:

If the only field evidence an episode is going to contain is audio (and this is the case with almost all of them so far), then the audience needs to be able to hear this audio as well as the cast. In last night’s episode, once again, the cast members claim to have heard ‘Squatchy sounds, and they certainly MAY have. But if they are hearing them with the aid of their parabolic microphones, why is this audio not being recorded and played back for the viewer? It is very frustrating to contantly have to take the cast’s WORD for evidence rather than being able to experience evidence directly. Very slim pickin’s.

  7. William responds:

I watch this show purely for its entertainment value now which includes poking fun at it. One of the things I am waiting to see and is bound to happen at some point possibly is they may encounter an actual bear, wolf, cougar, etc. and it will be funny to see them take off running as in having the crap scared out of them. That is much more likely than encountering an actual sasquatch using their methods. I also think they ought to change the name of the show to “Not Finding Bigfoot.” LOL.

  8. EnormousFoot responds:

The show is just an unintentional docu-comedy of the research “methodology” of the BRFO.
I can be in a terrible mood and then I catch the show on Animal Planet and I have to watch. My mood improves and within minutes I am laughing at something one of them says. I used to think organizations like the BRFO must be doing some good work and sitting on some credible evidence. Visibility into their operations has tilted my perceptions to zero credibility into anything they do. I just laughed hard watching MM on his solo mission howling in the daytime. At least at night he got some coyotes to respond. Put some camera traps on coyotes or moose.

  9. Nny responds:

Soooo… I watched this episode. Never saw the Standing footage. Saw it. Moving on….

Poor Todd Standing. One of two people I’ve seen Finding Bigfoot not believe every word said.

As for the episode… I thought it was terrible.

It reminded me why I don’t watch.
