Ely Video Is Back

Posted by: Loren Coleman on March 25th, 2006

In only a few days this week, the Ely Sasquatch Video has been posted, removed, enhanced, re-posted in “regular” and “closeup” versions, then new footage found that was posted, and finally, yesterday, all of the footage was removed. After the removal, Richard Sade posted a comment at my Cryptomundo blog, “Ely Footage Removed,” which read […]

Jumping Johor Roundup

Posted by: Loren Coleman on March 25th, 2006

Considering the recent Johor Bigfoot news was about the destruction of footprints, things have taken a positive turn, by week’s end. Reports of new encounters, a commitment to evidence preservation, and a May 2006 expedition make for an exciting roundup of Malaysian Bigfoot happenings. Be forewarned, however, this is not your grandparents’ “Bigfoot”. As noted […]

Cryptozoo Museums Worldwide

Posted by: Loren Coleman on March 24th, 2006

What and where are your favorite cryptozoology and Bigfoot museums throughout the world? Scotland’s cryptozoology collection at the National Museums of Scotland was recently highlighted in the Scotsman. The easiest exhibits to record, unfortunately, are often the hoaxes. Shown here are a Japanese-made mermaid and a Canadian-created furred trout, both taxidermy fakes. Dr. Geoff Swinney […]

Cryptozoology Model Kits

Posted by: Craig Woolheater on March 24th, 2006

A few days ago, I talked about cryptozoology action figures here on Cryptomundo. Today, I want to talk about cryptozoology model kits. These are different than action figures, they require assembly. My good friend Jeff Johnson, a Dallas-based model-maker and sculptor has a line of really nice cryptozoology model kits. They can be ordered in […]

Ely Footage Removed

Posted by: Loren Coleman on March 23rd, 2006

The Ely Sasquatch Videoes (two original segments and the “forgotten” footage just discovered) have been removed by Richard Sade from the internet. While the BFRO was involved in assisting with placing a copyright on the video and enlarging the first segment, they were not responsible for withdrawing it, they exclusively tell Cryptomundo this evening. According […]

Richard Sade said he forgot that he captured more images on the original videotape, so he has posted new footage of the Ely Sasquatch running towards the road. See it here. Revisit the old footage (and over 60 Cryptomundo reader comments) here. See copies of one artist’s representations of what might be appearing in the […]

Johor Tracks Being Destroyed

Posted by: Loren Coleman on March 23rd, 2006

Breaking news from Malaysia is hitting the wires today that local authories are bulldozing and destroying physical evidence of the Johor Bigfoot. Cryptozoologists and hominologists are outraged. Our message to Malaysia: Stop the destruction! Reports for March 23 exclaim: Tracks resembling giant footprints in forests around Kampung Lukut and Kampung Temening are being erased, seemingly […]

The Skamania County Sasquatch Saga Continues

Posted by: John Kirk on March 23rd, 2006

My own sasquatch encounter in Skamania County took place in the late 1990’s. I had come down to visit my father for Christmas and brought my son with me. On Christmas Eve morning we made a mad dash for the store in a town several miles away as a winter storm was heading our way […]

Red Lake and Bigfoot

Posted by: Loren Coleman on March 22nd, 2006

With all the interest in the new Ely Sasquatch Video, it seems like a good moment to mention the time-space links to Red Lake, Minnesota. Both locations are in northern Minnesota, just south of the Canadian border. Ely is 200 miles due east of Red Lake. Yesterday, as the Ely Sasquatch Video was exploding onto […]

Vance’s First Article

Posted by: Loren Coleman on March 22nd, 2006

Vance Orchard passed away March 7, 2006, in Walla Walla, Washington, ending a wonderful life of Bigfoot searching and reporting. Discussed here was Vance’s personal journey and what he appreciated from his quest. Vance also mentioned, in talks with me, a 1966 incident that drew him into the hunt for Bigfoot. Due to that incident, […]

Cryptozoology Action Figures

Posted by: Craig Woolheater on March 22nd, 2006

Bigfoot and Mothman and Nessie, oh my! Do you have any? Huh, huh, do ya? What’s in your collection? There have been some pretty cool cryptozoology action figures over the years. The Mezco Cryptozoology series were anticipated for quite some time before being eventually released. Supposedly, they were delayed due to negotiations over the licensing […]

Ely Sasquatch Video

Posted by: Loren Coleman on March 21st, 2006

An intriguing new video taken in Ely, Minnesota, in January 2006, by a person named Richard Sade has surfaced. The footage is of what Sade, at one point, calls the “Ely Bigfoot.” In another posting, Sade terms this the “Sasquatch Video.” I will call it simply the “Ely Sasquatch Video.” There is a regular version […]
