Great news! Bobcat Goldthwait’s Bigfoot thriller Willow Creek has scored a distribution deal and will have a spring 2014 theatrical release!

After seeing the film on June 9th as part of the 2013 Oak Cliff Film Festival, I told Bobcat that Willow Creek was the “Best f@#king Bigfoot movie ever, and Bigfoot wasn’t even shown!”

Forbidden Bigfoot

“Mysterious footprints. Eerie screams. For centuries, if not longer, stunned witnesses have reported face-to-face encounters with the bizarre beasts responsible for mystifying us with the tantalizing evidence they leave behind…”

The Dark Side of Flying Humanoids

Lizard Man Q&A

Posted by: Lyle Blackburn on November 19th, 2013

I was doing research on monster sightings that have occurred in various swamps locations around the southeast U.S. In the process I actually visited swamps in several different states, including Scape Ore Swamp near Bishopville, South Carolina. As I interviewed people in the area, including law officials and witnesses, I realized there was much more to the story of the Bishopville Lizard Man than had ever been made public. It seemed like a great story, so I ended up developing it into a book.

Monster Survival Guide

I’ve seen grumblings in the crypto community about the show, but you have to take it for what it is, entertainment. I thoroughly enjoyed the first episode, even thought it was a zombie episode, hardly cryptozoology.

It was far more entertaining than Animal Planet’s Lost Tapes, which strangely enough, some folks believed was non-fiction.

To me, it was in the vein of Evil Dead, crossed with Lost Tapes.

Looking forward to see what future episodes bring… If there are any.

The Horror On Highway 180

Posted by: Monster Island News on November 18th, 2013

The trip started out normal enough. Just a typical drive through the mountains. There were few cars on the highway that evening, as I remember it and the road was kinda curvy….winding through the mountains. By this time the sun had set and it was getting dark.

This is when it happened.

I remember coming around a curve in the highway and there was a long straight-away in front of us before the road turned again.

As we began to proceed down the straight section we both noticed a very large animal walking down the right side of the road. Since I had just came out of a curve the car wasn’t moving very fast and when I saw the animal I slowed the car even further.

Bryan Sykes Knows More than He’s Saying – And it’s Good News for Sasquatch Research

Posted by: Christopher Noël on November 17th, 2013

Though disappointing for North American Sasquatch researchers, and for students of the Yeti, tonight’s episode of “Bigfoot: The New Evidence,” on the National Geographic Channel, is quite another story when it comes to its analysis of the Russian Almasty.
