Finding Bigfoot: Listening For the Sounds of Bigfoot
The team breaks out the parabolic mic in order to hear the sounds of bigfoot.
What Is That?
The team is fishing for Bigfoot in the Molalla Forest and hear a noise. Have they finally found proof that Bigfoot exists?

hahahahaha….called it…
They are in the middle of the woods…woods that are full of wildlife that makes noises….bears, birds, dear, etc…not to forget that there’s always the chance of other humans being in the woods too. It seems as though every time they go into the woods and hear a noise, they almost always say it is Bigfoot. I guess some people want to believe something so badly that they truly believe it exists and attribute everything to it…sometimes to the point that they don’t see the truth when it is right in front of them.
IMHO, a good cryptozoologist will always consider alternative explanations. Aside DNA, high quality video, or a body, they would not consider things like sounds in the woods, blurry video or even footprints as solid evidence/proof as they all can easily be faked. They would chalk such things up as “promising”. Why? Credibility. If Bigfoot is proven to be just a myth and/or fake, then they wouldn’t have staked their reputation on it by stating as a matter of fact that it exists. If it is proven to be real, then they have themselves a collection of supporting evidence. To me that seems to be the most reasonable way to go about it.
Anyway….pop some popcorn for some entertainment tonight.
I have spent 30+ years intently looking for evidence of crypto-hominids in these very woods( w/nightvision and FLIR regularly). I have seen some evidence of old prints and heard many eyewitness accounts. I have yet to watch the Oregon episode, but I’m sure Matt Moneymaker is bound to have a genuine “squatch” encounter being that Animal Planet is editing the footage. I think the concept is fine, but the team is over filmed. Another thing; I’ve done my homework, and I think the Bigfoot calling that has been shown on past episodes is 95% BS, I base that on the fact that the recorded bigfoot calls that remain “undebunkable” do so because they cannot be reproduced by ANY other animal (including human animals).
I am disappointed in almost every television production that claims to ‘search’ for cryptids. I would love to see a show that just reenacts eyewitness accounts with modern CGI effects, and lets people tell their stories. When people add “hunt”, “Search” or “finding” to the agenda there seems to be too much pressure to produce “hard evidence”, and some of the fun is lost. Old shows like “In Search Of..” were great entertainment for the way they retold weird stories, with little investigating done on camera.
P.S. everyone’s a critic, I’m not hating, I’d just like to see more entertaining crypto-cable television
I really don’t like Animal Planet’s gap in the program. 3 hrs of Bigfoot; 2 hrs of whaler abuse; then 2 hrs of repeating new bigfoot shows. They do need to stick to the subject. More on the new in the next post… so far, it’s been a ‘people watcher’ show.
They lost me after the first show. That’s not easy to do, but they did it.
