The “Bounty” portion of the 3rd Annual Bigfoot Bash & Bounty is the opportunity to seek out the elusive creature (or at least plywood likenesses of him) in the rural areas of Skamania County including the communities of Carson, Stabler and Home Valley as well as the Gifford Pinchot National Forest and gateway to Mount St. Helens. Participants in the Bounty will purchase a map for $5.00 per team. The team can consist of several members, a couple or even an individual. The map will provide clues directing seekers to locations where Bigfoot may be seen. By marking the sightings on your map and recording the answers found on Bigfoot, you have proven his, or her, existence! Then return the maps to the registration area at Home Valley Park and be entered into a drawing for an amazing array of prizes including overnight stays in the area, tickets for local attractions, services such as massage and much more.
The maps will be available after 3:00 p.m. on Friday, August 27 at Gator Creek Gardens or Carson General Store in Carson. The Bounty officially begins at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 28 and then maps will be available at the event site at Home Valley Park.
Venture out to locations around Skamania County, enjoy the spectacular natural beauty and then return to Home Valley Park for a slate of speakers throughout the afternoon, games and fun for the kids and food vendors, crafts vendors and a beer garden. The drawing for prizes will take place at 7:00 p.m. and hopefully you will stay to enjoy the live music throughout the night!
