Interesting video from Dr. J. However, he doesn’t address the dangers the species can pose to humans nor does he address the disappearances that author David Paulides documents in Missing 411. I can accept the species has been underestimated for intelligence and an ability to communicate among themselves.

We will still need a specimen of the species to get them protected and classified. As Grover made the point so well main stream science will not accept the species without a body living or dead as a specimen.

I wonder how the Forest People would handle this request of them. My best,

Been a long time lurker but of all the content ive read/viewed it took this post to make me register.

I dont live in the states or canada and im unsure as to my current position on the existance of bigfootesque creatures. However, i do have a keen interest in the natural world and in particular mans interactions/coexistance with large carnivorous animals.

Regardless of whether bigfoot does or does not exist, i find it hard to believe that carrying out an overnight vigil in the fashion advocated in this video is sound advice. I fully appreciate that the likelyhood of an unpleasant encounter with a potentialy dangerous non cryptid or even human is dependant on location amongst other factors but seriously, come on!!!

I mean, its not only animals or other people, terrain and environment can hurt you badly enough.

Im not saying that everyone should wrap themselves up in cotton wool but generally when taking risks you would benefit from being knowledgable enough on the factors involved to be able to calculate the risk and therefore what youre prepared to expose yourself to.

Given that most who would take up his advice would likely not be sufficiently knowledgable on the enviromment theyre walking into and therefore the risks they would be exposing themselves to, i think this is seriously irresponsible content to post.

The reference to david paulides work in a previous comment is so apt in this instance. You could so easily find yourself in his next book by following this guys advice. Whether it be by tripping and falling into a ravine, being predated by wolf, cougar or bear, falling foul of a person or persons with bad intent or maybe even by being abducted by the subject of your visit to the woods in the first place. Who knows, so many ways to come unstuck already without shortening your odds by folllowing this advice!

    Iwanttobelieve:

1: These people are not beginners

2: Pretty sure no wolves in that part of the US

3: He indicates they drive the entire way

4: Something may be taking people, but I don’t believe it’s Bigfoots; I’m guessing it’s a complex phenomenon

  7. Jaded1 responds:

I used to like this site as it was about cryptids in general (hence the name Cryptomundo). However, over the last couple of years all I’ve seen is Bigfoot this, Bigfoot that. I’d wager that 90% of the articles are Bigfoot related (with the occasional Yowie or Yeti article thrown in for good measure).

Whatever happened to all the other cryptids? Whatever happened to the Mkole Mbembes, lake monsters, Luscas, Ahools, Nandi Bears, sea monsters, Megalanias and Thylacines of this world?

You may as well call this site “Bigfootomundo” now.

    Very, very boring.

*Mokele Mbembe… That’ll teach me to rush :(.
