Meldrum Supports Munns
Posted by: Craig Woolheater on February 26th, 2013
Jeff Meldrum posted the following on facebook in response to Bill Munns’ post of his Matilda comparison.
Appears Bill has gone public on this. He showed the comparisons to me during my last visit there. I had seen the footage briefly during my visit to Kentucky years ago. It was not what I would have expected and yet there was something familiar about it. Since I wasn’t at liberty to discuss it then and had no opportunity to review it, it was simply tucked a way in a vague recess of memory. When Bill showed me his chart, the penny dropped. It was all too clear.Jeff Meldrum
The source the “creature” images never referred to it as “Matilda”, but the descriptions I have read about “Matilda” seem to fit what is seen here. To me, it is obvious tihs “creature” is simply a Chewbacca mask with the hair reworked to be a different color and texture. I welcome comments from anyone who thinks otherwise.
With this posting, I cordially suggest the following:
1. If anyone wishes to publicly acknowledge that this is their footage, I invite them to do so, and if they are correct, I’ll acknowledge it to be true.
2. If anyone feels the video frames show a real creature and not a Chewbacca mask, I welcome their analysis of why we should consider that to be so.
3. If anyone has seen the “Matilda” footage, I invite you to let us know if this is or is not the footage you call “Matilda”, because maybe what I’m looking at isn’t her, and I welcome being corrected if that is so.
4. If my display of this chart causes anyone to feel that they should file some type of civil action against me, please have your lawyer contact me at [email protected] so we can set an appointment for my receiving the service of papers, and we can discuss the matter on the public record, in a court.
For the record, I will confidently and clearly offer an appraisal of evidence as being something real, if I truly find the evidence leads to that conclusion, and my appraisal of the PGF as being real supports that position. But as much as we must support what we find to be real or valid, we must also reject or discount what we find to be false or fake. Our obligation is to find the truth, and I think it’s time we all knew the truth about this “Matilda” thing. I finally decided it’s time I did my share to get the truth out.
So hopefully, someone who has seen the “Matilda” footage will tell us the truth. Is this her (pictured below), and is she real?Bill Munns

i LOVE THIS.
the ball is in your court, hoaxers
If this truly is the Matilda footage than this is a death blow to the Erickson project. Ketchum’s association with this project only muddies her name further. Thanks to Jeff Meldrum for letting his voice be heard. One of the last mainstream “good guys” in bigfoot research.
Yeah, something fishy this way comes. Jeff the voice of reason always, just wish the hoaxer would dry up and fly away, it’s getting really tiresome.
I too, love Mr. Munns challenging comments. Of course he will get no takers because he is spot on correct in his assessment. Bravo to him for exposing this for what it is – fakery at its worst!
Well that just about puts the final nail in the coffin for me. Between Munns, Meldrum and Kirk, the dodgy footage of a “breathing” rug, and the Chewbacca stills, one has to wonder what Moneymaker could possibly have seen to declare this nonsense real? Is there some other footage of this alleged “Matilda” that is not available? Are the stills Munns posted not this footage?
If Moneymaker thinks what has been posted so far and what Jeff Meldrum and Bill Munns have seen is real, then any credibility he may have had has just gone out the window.
I’m still waiting to hear someone explain to me what this footage has to do with Ketchum’s DNA research, other than the fact that they’ve been lumped together? It’s pretty obvious that’s a costume in these pics, just as Munns suggests; but unless the DNA samples came directly–and solely–from whoever perpetrated this footage, how would debunking the one undermine the other (other than through guilt by association)? I’m not convinced of the Ketchum research, simply wanting to apply some critical thinking here.
If Ketchum is on the level (and I certainly think it’s possible), she made her biggest mistake in connecting herself with this tomfoolery. The sooner the Erickson Project dies, the better. I can’t believe they thought that thing would take off.
Like most Sunday evenings after I watch FB, I’m embarrassed for Moneymaker.
Maby it’s just me, but i still dont belive it’s been made abundantly clear that these stills are indeed from the footage in question. However, i will defer to Dr Meldrum.
@Chewbaccala – We are critical thinking. A fair amount of samples from the Erickson project were used for Kethcum’s testing. If this truly is the “smoking gun” HD film she talked about that what does it say about her samples? Not to mention as many as 6 geneticists have now tested her methods/findings and the samples contain bear DNA.
It would seem as though the only way to definitively know whether these images are indeed from the ‘Matilda’ footage is for the full original footage to be made public. In the meantime, Dr. Meldrum is a credible observer and he mentions recollecting these images from the original footage while in Kentucky, where Matilda was supposedly filmed, so the chances are at least reasonable that these images are from that original source. Why Ketchum chose to embrace the ‘sleeper’ footage and include observational data from it in her paper is anyone’s guess. It seems oddly coincidental that Ketchum suddenly withdrew the footage of the sleeping Sasquatch from her social media once Bill Munns and Dr. Meldrum made their observations.
Mr. Joshua, this is one of the most recent examinations of the Ketchum data from an evolutionary biologist, if you’re not aware of this one; pretty interesting:
“So, as Winter notes, he’s not sure if the researchers are inept or deliberate in their interpretation but some of the DNA is perfectly matched to humans and the rest is “crap”. Some of the sequences, he said, were far too short to be the result of hybridization, making Ketchum’s claim of hybridization from 15,000 years ago not plausible.”

Right, the last I heard Ketchum supported these so – called “Matilda” videos as legit. If she is that gullible and wants to associate with this Erickson Project she has much like Moneymaker, just made herself look like a complete fool.
Well, if “Meldrum Supports Munns” guess I’ll have to go on Facebook to see what he said!
What “was all too clear”?
Come on, guys. Put the whole quote in there. This is just what mainstream science is doing on the whole sasquatch question: assuming stuff. It’s one thing to refer to a link or another source for a voluminous treatment not possible in this small space. But let’s leave the silly teasers to AOL and Yahoo! News.
I mean, I’m not bothering, other than to repeat what I’ve said before, which is:
No surprise.
(I’ll just assume you know what I mean. 😉 )
DWA,
Meldrum’s entire statement was quoted here in this post.
Craig
Well let me put it on Jeffrey, then. Get it all out, man!
We all know what happens when you “ass-u-me.”
Greetings All,
The question about the credibility of the Matilda Video most likely will never be settled until the species is classified and maybe not then. I’ve been in touch with Matt and he stands by his opinion the footage is real. Also, his contacts in Kentucky who viewed the footage believe it’s real.
The mask in question is based upon a real creature and we must allow that this species if partly human or primate will have physical and color variations within its’ species and within geographical locations.
One of the few people to actually see a Sasquatch for an extended period of time in decent light is Bob Boston.
Bob looked at the existing footage and wasn’t sure so I referred him to Matt to see if there’s better video or stills available. He did notice the nose on Matilda was black and in his encounter with the Foot we call Maxine the nose was not black.
I’ve heard the color of the nose both ways in reports and encounters and I think it can be a variable. I would suggest that the best photos or video of Matilda be released so they can be examined by all who have come in contact with the species at a range close enough to see the face.
Another thing in favor of the video is the support of David Paulides. What ever you may think of David personally doesn’t matter here. What matters is that David is a retired cop and a careful researcher who knows his stuff. If a hoax was being done he would be one of the first to detect it and let us know. These guys have David’s support, now Matt’s and others are joining in.
My personal opinion is that Bill Munns has noticed and found an interesting coincidence. But like the Patterson Film the possibility of a hoax cannot be completely ruled out but the film does appear to be legit and show a sleeping Squatch. I just wonder what else they’ve got hiding in their computers? As always my best to all and good hunting.
