From press release:

Mountain Monsters: Bigfoot Edition
All-New Season Premieres Saturday, January 23 at 10/9c on Destination America

Nowhere does the mystery of Bigfoot’s existence run deeper than in the backcountry of Appalachia where, over the last 10 years alone, the Appalachian Investigators of Mysterious Sightings (AIMS) have uncovered more than a dozen different clans of bigfoot that call the mountain region home. Locals have their own names for these enormous ape-like creatures, but they’re all bigfoot in the end. AIMS travel to remote corners of the Appalachian wilderness to track and attempt to trap these mysterious creatures, proving they’re fact not folklore.

In all-new episodes, Mountain Monsters picks up where it left off in AIMS’ search for bigfoot but this time with a whole new set of surprises…

1. Mysterious Stalkers
Last season it was revealed that a mysterious rival group was trailing AIMS on the bigfoot chase. The premiere episode on January 23 will finally shed light on this group’s shady activities when they come closer than ever before to threatening AIMS’ mission.

2. New Evidence
After a cliffhanger ending last season, Trapper finally reveals the evidence he dug up in a supposed bigfoot burial ground. The revelation sends AIMS back to Kentucky in the January 30th episode to pursue a new lead.

3. One Man Down
By far the biggest shock to AIMS’ system will involve the health of one of their own. By January 30, the team may have changed forever but it won’t stop them from pursuing their goal of finding bigfoot.

Episodes

Bigfoot of Harrison County: Stonish Giant premieres Saturday, January 23 at 10/9c

AIMS resumes their epic quest to prove the existence of bigfoot in Appalachia as they head north to Harrison County, Ohio, after a legendary bigfoot known as the Stonish Giant. Native American folklore says this bigfoot has a coat of fur so thick that arrows are unable to penetrate it. The team soon learns that a local hunter claims to have shot and injured it with his rifle and the race is on to try to find this wounded beast before it succumbs to its injuries. After the AIMS team’s nemesis reemerges during the hunt, one team member has to be rushed to the hospital and is left fighting for his life.

Bigfoot of Central Kentucky: Squalling Savage premieres Saturday, January 30 at 10/9c

The AIMS team heads back to Central Kentucky where their quest began last season for a bigfoot known as the Midnight Whistler, which locals believe is at war with another bigfoot clan in the area known as the Squalling Savage. They find themselves caught in the middle of an epic territorial bigfoot battle both on the ground and in the trees. Worst of all, the team must take on the mission with one man sidelined after a brush with death.

Okay this show seriously went off the rails last season…am sad to admit I watched…it’s more like a hillbilly sci-fi or paranormal. Not that I expected great things out of this show. It’s a train wreck and I couldn’t stop watching 🙂

Forgive me Cryptomundians for I have sinned…

Eh, what the hey. We’ve all got our guilty collections of crap we shouldn’t watch or even like. However, I do believe the Mountain Monster train has stopped for me. There’s better programming out there.
