“In my opinion they are not at all the same things that others report jumping from cornfields or snarling on nature trails. Their descriptions detail a taller creature that seems more humanoid in form and is utterly black in color.”

Several times in the past decade, West Michigan newspapers have reported on a strange canine-like creature people claim to have seen in woodlands — not the legendary Chubacabra, but the Michigan Dogman.

…my husband described what he had seen as a black, bipedal wolf. He said the snout and ears were wolf-like, but that it had yellow eyes that reminded him more of a cat. I measured the window and the bottom of it is 6ft off the ground, so for any thing’s head and torso to pass by it from where he was standing the animal would have to be more like 7 feet tall.

Tomorrow night @ 9pm EST, I will be appearing on a new television series called the Unexplained Files (Science Channel… a subsidiary of Discovery). The episode will focus on the mystery of the Texas Blue Dogs… formerly referred to as ‘Chupacabras’. Unfortunately, I may miss the episode, since I am not finding that particular channel on my cable package!

When I shined the floodlight (I had this huge floodlight that you could see forever with it – hundreds of feet), but these were only about twenty feet from us. There were three that were crawling towards us, so I didn’t see the five all at once. I saw the three and when I put the light on them, that’s what the shock was. Even four seconds can feel like four hours – you’re just mesmerized. And they got up. They went sideways and they stayed all together. And all I could think of – the leg, the thigh going down to the leg – the thigh reminded me of a kangaroo, and the foot, what was odd about it, it had a very long arch and a heel like a human. And then it walked on – they didn’t really look like toes as much as they looked like canine paws. With very long nails sticking out of it. And the reason I saw the nails is when they lifted their foot up, the dew was in the grass and you could see it shining.

“Paradise is a small town, situated not too far from the sprawling city of Fort Worth, Texas. It’s dominated by isolated homes, thick and somewhat mysterious woods, sprawling fields, numerous cows, and not much more at all. Aside from a killer-werewolf, that is.”

When morning came, they could finally breathe a sigh of relief. The creatures were gone. Eric called Sean, who came over and helped look for tracks. The tracks they did find were huge, with enormous claws. They showed a creature who could walk on two feet. These creatures had been hunting, stalking. Were they werewolves? To this day, nobody knows.
