Mama Creech: As we celebrate 60 years of Creech this week, we would be remiss if didn’t mention the amazingly talented (and often overlooked) genius who created the Creature, Milicent Patrick. London artist John Conway recently painted a hypothetical reconstruction of what the infamous Zuiyo Maru carcass (found off New Zealand in 1977) might have looked like in life, assuming the carcass as found was an accurate representation of the living animal.

A young Ahousaht man got the surprise of his life when he was out in his boat on the morning of Feb. 26. During a routine patrol of Ahousaht territories he spotted movement at the tree line. From his boat he saw a creature stand up from a crouched position and retreat deeper into the forest.

Saturday, I went to Paris, TX to see Hank and Rick Dyer who was set up in the parking lot of the local civic center during a gun and knife show.
I went to see it myself with my own two eyes.

DNA tests have recently been conducted on a very unusual skull, which was discovered in Paracas, Peru. According to Brien Foerster, it has “mtDNA with mutations unknown in any human, primate, or animal so far known. The cranial volume is up to 25 percent larger and 60 percent heavier than human skulls… [and] it contains only one parietal plate, rather than two.”
