Swamp Monsters: The Grunch

Posted by: Craig Woolheater on October 3rd, 2014

In the mystical lagoons, marshes and swamps of Louisiana’s bayou, Elliot Guidry and his team of BEAST (the Bayou Enforcement Agency on Supernatural Threats) battle the elements while tracking down a pack of the infamous Grunch. Born of the Devil himself, the Grunch have been terrorizing Louisiana residents for centuries. These skin and bones, dog-like creatures have ridged backs, stand three feet tall and emit a horrible screech. After following these monsters into the middle of the swamp, BEAST realizes that the hunter has become the hunted as they’re surrounded by a hungry pack of Grunch.

Sanchez has been trying to make such a Sasquatch-ian film since soon after Blair Witch took over the world in 1999. “This is really the third Bigfoot film that I’ve tried to get going. The first was a huge $80 million movie that we almost sold. There was a lot of interest in it, but it was a period piece, very challenging as far as a genre movie. And then I co-wrote a smaller version [that] we didn’t have much luck with,” said Sanchez. “There’s just kind of this fear, especially at the studio level, of Bigfoot movies.”

Update: Photo of Sasquatch Watching a Passing Train

Posted by: Steve Kulls on October 1st, 2014

Yesterday evening, I had come home to see this interesting picture posted on the Coast 2 Coast website, depicting what appeared to be a Sasquatch observing a train as it passed.

Well if it is a train, it must have been moving awfully slow. The other thing that struck me as oddly familiar and not in a good way, mainly the nose.
