The team travels half way across the world to investigate recent reports of Australia’s yowie, a creature similar to sasquatch in both appearance and behavior. They traverse deep into the jungle in hopes of proving bigfoot’s cousin down under is real.

I thought it was brilliant that they waited until they arrived in Australia and were doing a night investigation to conclude that they didn’t know much about the Yowie or the area, so they should go do some research.
Where was the “mind blowing” moment Cliff promised? Was it the Yowie playing “Patty Cake” with him as he stated? Just because you clap twice and something in the woods claps twice does not make it a “Yowie” encounter. And that is NOT how we play “Patty Cake” Cliff! I have to admit Ranae breaking off the branch and tossing it in the water to attract “Yowies” was equally absurd.
Hey look! Squatchy! Let’s look! This is evidence! Whoo-hoo! Great three days!
Now! Let’s run off to the other side of the world…!
Ok so… I haven’t watched this season at all, but caught a few eps yesterday while making Jewelry.
The Yowie one was a bit interesting. I enjoyed listening to the Yowie encounters. I know almost nothing about the Yowie. I wish they had spent more time on it, especially the Aboriginal Lore, or even historical encounters but instead they went back into the same old routine and the show got pretty dry after that. I did find it amusing that they jumped to the Yowie conclusion (must stick to the Finding Bigfoot formula after all) when out in the bush (over the clapping and talking and such), especially since there are Aboriginal communities there still. I got the impression, someone, human, was making a fuss, just because it was amusing.
Anyway, doubt I’ll tune in again. But I will read up on the Yowie, they sound pretty cool and terrifying actually.
I found this entertaining. Its about the yowie and encounters with it. It is on Paranormal tv, ok so the source is rather out there, but the show is fun. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fy81epgMtz0
