Something Lurks in the Woods…

Posted by: Nick Redfern on February 5th, 2014

“…Large, shadowy and creepy woods curiously provoke wonder, intrigue and mystery in all of us – even if we’re not overly sure why. We imagine them to be filled with mysterious creatures; those diabolical half-human monsters, winged and nightmarish beasts, and paranormal animals that lurk in the shadows of the thick trees…”

PG Filmsite Fold-out Post Card

Posted by: Craig Woolheater on February 5th, 2014

PG card1

Daniel Perez has put together a fold-out post card featuring photographs of the Patterson/Gimlin Film Site from various years. The card features photographs by John Green, Peter Byrne, Walt Deeds, Warren Thompson, and Daniel Perez. Each photograph is fascinating, not only for their historical value, but also to see how the location has gradually become unrecognizable over time.

Melba Ketchum Writing Sasquatch Fiction

Posted by: Craig Woolheater on January 20th, 2014

Dr. Melba S. Ketchum moved to a small rural town in a forested area of Texas after graduating from Texas A&M University with a doctorate in veterinary medicine. She practiced as a veterinarian for several years before entering the field of genetics and becoming the director of a large laboratory. Melba continues to work in the field of genetics and lives in an area where there are frequent sightings of the Forest People reported, making her privy to the local lore surrounding them. This prompted her to write the first installment of the Mystic Forest saga in 2013.

Teddy’s Sasquatch Tale: Bauman Identified?

Among the books written by Roosevelt out in remote Montana was The Wilderness Hunter, published in 1893. Tossed in between tales of heroic hunters and tough-as-nails outdoorsmen is one puzzling piece of history that cryptozoologists have latched on to as a second hand account of one man’s encounter with something as-yet unidentified. Roosevelt himself rationalized it as a credible account of something horrific and made no attempt to pass judgment on the man who told him the story, leaving its validity up to readers to decide, but nonetheless documented the precise details in his book.

Do Sasquatches Wield “Sound Cannons?”

Posted by: Kirk Sigurdson on January 3rd, 2014

It has come to my attention over the past ten years of bigfooting that squatches use very low frequencies (below the range of human hearing) to hunt game, communicate with each other over long distances, and also to stun humans that encroach on their territory.

Posted by: Katy Elizabeth on December 31st, 2013

There are far and few cryptozoologists and scientists who have ventured to the Lake to keep up on research.
