The Invasion on Chestnut Ridge

A new film titled Invasion on Chestnut Ridge (from the creators of the just-released documentary, The Mothman of Point Pleasant) now has a trailer. “Invasion” tells the true story of one of the more bizarre places in America, and the unusual activity that has taken place there for decades. Ahead of the launch of the film, the official trailer has been released. Delving into one of the most intriguing, and unusual areas this side of the Bermuda Triangle, the film will tell the tale of the Kecksburg UFO crash, the Uniontown Bigfoot/UFO sightings, encounters with a large, prehistoric bird in Keystone State Park and much more.

Mothman Legend Becomes Reality in New Trailer for Small Town Monsters Documentary

In 1966 four people driving on a deserted stretch of road in rural West Virginia encountered a bizarre, winged entity that came to be known as “the Mothman”. The event was the catalyst for a thirteen month-long string of unusual activity centered around the town of Point Pleasant, WV. For over a year, citizens of Point Pleasant were witnesses to UFOs, strange government and military-related activity, and the Mothman itself. Today a new trailer for a film that traces the Mothman case (titled The Mothman of Point Pleasant) has been released.

Last Call for Small Town Monsters Mothman and Kecksburg Kickstarter

The Mothman of Point Pleasant details a thirteen month span of time that kicked off in November of 1966 with the first sightings of a bizarre, winged, man-like creature in the small town of Point Pleasant, West Virginia and ended in 1967 with the collapse of the Silver Bridge. The film takes an in-depth chronological look at the case. Featuring numerous interviews with original witnesses, film promises to be a thoroughly terrifying account of an event that stretched the boundaries of belief. The film will have its big-screen premiere at the Mothman Festival this September.

The Mothman of Point Pleasant Is Revealed

The Mothman of Point Pleasant will tell the truly bizarre story of thirteen months that changed the town of Point Pleasant forever. It promises the first in-depth, chronological look at not just the Mothman-creature encounters but all of the unusual activity which took place around the town and seemed to culminate with the collapse of the Silver Bridge. The Silver Bridge incident claimed the lives of 46 people in 1967, an event which still affects the community to this day.

The Mothman of Point Pleasant Kickstater Launches Tonight

Tonight at 7pm EST, the Kickstarter campaign to fund the production of the next two Small Town Monsters films will kick off. A slew of rewards are already set for backers including a Mothman t-shirt and poster by Sam Shearon, a Small Town Monsters poster by Matt Harris (featuring the titular monsters of the first four STM films) DVD copies of both “Mothman” and a fifth STM film titled, Invasion on Chestnut Ridge. There are also collectibles in the form of a Madballs-style Mothman head courtesy of toyline, Cryptorbs, and a Mothman statue designed and sculpted by Jean St Jean and put out by CreatuReplica. You can also get your name in the credits of both films or, for high level backers, get an executive producer credit.

Boggy Creek Monster: The Truth Behind The Legend

A new film chronicling the frightening history of the Bigfoot-like “Fouke Monster of Boggy Creek” is headed to screens this November. A new trailer has just been released for the feature-length, documentary, featuring a slew of dramatic imagery that gives insight into the look and tone. The film is titled Boggy Creek Monster and is the third in a series called Small Town Monsters.

Minerva Monster Day is a cryptid-themed, small town festival that centers around the subject of a famous Bigfoot-type creature said to live near the town. While last years’ event acted as the official premiere for the Small Town Monsters’ production, Minerva Monster, this one will see screenings of multiple films across a variety of unusual creature topics from Bigfoot to Loch Ness Monster. The Minerva Area Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring the event which will also play host to a speaking presentation from renowned museum curator, author and lecturer, Loren Coleman.

Beast of Whitehall Premiere This Weekend

The film is about the mysterious sightings of an unidentified beast in Whitehall in August 1976. A number of eyewitnesses, including members of law enforcement agencies, saw a strange, huge, hairy, man-like creature in the Adirondack region, in the northeastern part of upstate New York. Now, an independent film crew from Ohio, including producer/composer Brandon Dalo, have made a film about the ominous events.
