Jim Wynorski Wants Everyone To Take A ‘Monster Cruise’

Posted by: Monster Island News on April 29th, 2010

In true Wynorski form, the film maker is keeping the plot to this one under wraps until after it premiers, but he did describe it this way, “….a fun filled romp that tells the story of a boy, a boat and a sea monster”.

Posted by: Monster Island News on April 29th, 2010

I know that I have really beaten the fact that there are a plethora of Bigfoot movies being made out there right now into the ground, so I’m not going to force you to mill over the ever growing list yet again.

That being said, I am going to make note of one of these films that I touched on in a prior article called “The Legend of Grassman.”

MOMO – Bigfoot Crossed With The Headless Horseman

Posted by: Monster Island News on April 28th, 2010

If I were to roll up to you on the street and ask you, “What is eight-feet-tall, covered in hair and has a head like a jack-o-lantern?”, you would think that I was about to lay some lame riddle on you, right?

That, however, would not be the case at all. I would be asking you if you had ever heard of the Momo, a Bigfoot-like monster that is a local legend in Missouri.

Danny Vail’s remake of The Legend of Boggy Creek

Posted by: Sean Whitley on March 24th, 2010

For the uninitiated, 1972’s The Legend of Boggy Creek is a drive-in classic about the legend of Arkansas’ Fouke Monster. Its theatrical and drive-in run, and its subsequent airings on broadcast and cable television throughout the 1970s and 80s, garnered the film a large cult following.

Like a lot of cult films of its era, a remake of “LOBC” has been rumored for years. However, there was only one official attempt to remake the movie and Ohio-based filmmaker Danny Vail was at its helm from 2002-2005.
